Wisdom of Lament
What can we learn from the art of grieving?
Fire Exit Theatre presents, The Wisdom of Lament, a contemplative arts experience, exploring the journey of grief.
Val Lieske and Karla Adolphe use spoken word, music and contemplation to explore the array of human emotions associated with suffering.
"We feel that North Americans struggle with how to grieve well. Whether is the loss of a loved one, of health, a dream, or relationship. We have no role models and no history of how to acknowledge and make room for true lament. We want to help people hit pause for a moment and sit in the reality of their deep sadness and remind them of God’s reality of perfect comfort." - Val + Karla
